Well it’s time for The Pixel Alley to say good-bye.

I have sold my content to the lovely Debbie of My Doodles you will be able to find it there. If you’re not a member I suggest you join it’s a great site and she’s a great lady.

I can’t say I’m completely happy with the sale. I never wanted to sell my content even if I closed, but then life kicks you in the butt and it comes down to what needs to be done and what you want to do. Unfortunately that meant for me selling, but I am very happy that it went to such a nice lady, and as she says I can come visit it any time I want lol

So, what does this mean?

Well it means I will no longer be holding theme weeks, and I won’t be doing updates. I may keep my shop open but I don’t think so, I’m thinking I will let what I have sell out (or wait till it’s stagnant lol) and close up. I may continue to do customs but right now they are limited and if they run out I haven’t decided what to do about that lol

I will keep Dark Enchantments open and update as I can. I am also running Northern Lights with Jelly and Dolls & Props with Jessie so I will be around.

Still, I will miss The Pixel Alley, and I hope others will too – then I’ll know I had a good site that people enjoyed lol. I think it’s for the best though, selling it allowed me to do the next step in the immigration process which is one step closer to getting my husband home for good.

Thank you to those who were interested in my site, the bidding war that ensued was both shocking and flattering lol, thank you to Debbie for giving my work a good home.

Thank you to all my members who really were the best group of ladies I have had the pleasure of meeting. Not an update went by without a thank you from a lot of people and it was greatly appreciated.

To the sisters I have met along the way words can not describe how much you all mean to me, and there’s no need to list names because you know who you are. Your support, encouragement and honesty has meant the world to me and I’m glad to know that no matter what I’ll have you in my life.

I wanted to announce that I will be closing The Pixel Alley December 31st 2012. I have been open for over 9 years now and have met some great ladies. I don’t feel as though I am running my members area (or any of my pixel commitments online) as I once have or wish to do so I’ve decided the best course of action is for me to close.

This decision has not been taken lightly. I have been wanting to close for months now, years even but I’ve always held onto my site. At this point it’s like a security blanket or a bad relationship that I just can’t let go of but is holding me back.  I’ve seen this community grow and change and I have tried to grow to meet it’s needs as well. I still plan on being in the pixel community with my shop and collabs I have running but eventually (within a few years or so) I would like to be completely out of the pixel world.

I just think it is time to let go of the old and bring in the new. I’ve gained a great interest in personal development and wish to live each day to the fullest and in the greatest effort at making tomorrow a better day for me and my family.

I hope everyone can understand and that no one will be too upset with me. One of the major reasons I haven’t closed in the past was because I was afraid of how upset people would become. It’s taken me a long time to realize that it doesn’t matter how others feel about my actions but how I feel about them at the end of the day. I have to live with the consequences and already I can tell you my shoulders feel much lighter.

I will remain open and will continue to update until the end of the year. I haven’t decided if I will be selling my content or not, if a good enough offer is made, well, everything has it’s price. If not I will keep the content up and the membership open (it will be stated however that new members will be paying for what is already there) and I will do my best to add any requested items to my members area until it closes.

My shop will remain open, however I am not positive how active it will be, but I will do my best. Any trades I have will still be able to access the site as long as it is up however if those who traded wish to cancel the trade they are welcome to do so.

Dark Enchantments will also remain open as I still feel as though there is a lot of creativity left in me for that site and I still have plenty of lines/tubes and ideas to add.
